About SPIKES ASIA - The 1st Asian Advertising Festival

Spikes Asia will take place in Singapore from 16-18 September 2009 to celebrate and inspire Asian creativity in advertising.

Building on the illustrious Spikes Awards, the Festival is the result of a collaboration between Cannes Lions and Haymarket. It will provide the region’s growing creative and advertising industry with a platform to network and exchange ideas, bringing together some of the finest creative thinkers from across the region and around the world.

Location
The Festival will take place in Singapore at Suntec City, a location chosen for its superb infrastructure, easy travel access and its commitment to supporting creativity.

Who should attend?
Festival attendance will benefit all individuals involved in creativity and communications, including art directors, creatives, copywriters, media agency executives, clients, account managers, agency heads, producers and directors from the region and around the globe. Student and Young Spikes (for young creatives) registration packages are also available.

The Festival Programme
The Festival will offer a challenging programme of seminars and workshops focusing on creativity and learning, exhibitions of creative work from Asia, networking events in the evening and the Spikes Asia awards show.

Spikes Asia Awards
Spikes, the region’s oldest and most prestigious award for creative advertising, will comprise the entry competitions of TV/Cinema, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Digital, the Jade Spikes for Integrated, Direct & Sales Promotion, Media, Print Craft, TV/Cinema Craft and Design. Six juries of leading international and regional creatives will judge the work in Singapore during the Festival week.

Young Spikes Competition
Young Spikes - a competition for creatives under 28 years of age - will be part of the festival programme, with the aim of cultivating young talent in this vibrant region.
