1st Spikes Asia Festival Opens For Delegate Registrations

23 April 2009 – The newly launched three-day Spikes Asia festival is now open for delegate registrations. The three-day Asian Advertising Festival will take place at Suntec City in Singapore, 16-18 September 2009.


After 23 years as Asia’s leading advertising awards, The Spikes will this year inaugurate as an Asian Advertising Festival offering a three-day programme themed to identify and address specific issues that are relevant to the Asian market.

The registration package includes access to the full festival programme of seminars and workshops, exhibitions and screenings of all the competing work, daily networking opportunities, attendance to the Spikes awards ceremony at The Victoria Concert Hall to honour Asia’s best ads as well as admittance to the closing party.

Networking events that registered delegates will be able to participate in include, a visit to one of Singapore's open-air Hawker Markets for a chance to sample local dishes; Networking After Dark allowing attendees to visit the offices of local agencies, enjoy their hospitality and meet the creative teams; and the closing party at IndoChine Waterfront which offers breathtaking views of the Singapore river.

As well as a three-day delegate registration, also available is a Young Creatives package for the under 28s and a student registration enabling the creatives of the future to participate in this unique experience.

Building on 22 years of the illustrious Spikes Awards, the Spikes Asia Festival is the result of a collaboration between the International Advertising Festival, organisers of Cannes Lions, Dubai Lynx and Eurobest and Haymarket. It will provide the region’s growing creative and advertising industry with a platform to network and exchange ideas, bringing together some of the finest creative thinkers from across the region and around the world.

The Festival will offer a challenging programme of seminars and workshops focusing on creativity and learning, exhibitions of creative work from Asia, networking events in the evening and the Spikes Asia awards show.

The Awards, judged by leading international and regional creatives, will honour the best creative work in the categories of TV/Cinema, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Digital, Integrated, Direct, Sales Promotion, Media, Print Craft, TV/Cinema Craft and Design.
