Biography
From studying plant life in college to decoding business growth with her MBA, Anupama’s journey has been anything but predictable. A movie buff fluent in more than a couple of languages, an avid traveller who collects stories from every corner of the world, and, at the heart of it all, an art director who sees the world in frames, colours, and ideas.
Her passion for advertising runs deep. Anu has built some of India’s most memorable campaigns, fuelled by fearless ideas and a relentless drive to make work that matters. In 2025, her campaign Ink of Democracy brought home 42 metals, including India’s first Cannes Gold of the year and a Grand Prix at both Spikes and Adfest.
She has won Golds at Clio, Spikes, Adfest, and LIA. Earlier, at JWT Delhi, she helped the agency win its first-ever Cannes and Clio Gold in its 100-year history - with the Fujifilm campaign, which was ranked one of the top 20 most awarded print campaigns in the world, according to the Gunn Report.
Currently, the Managing Director and Chief Creative Officer at Havas Creative India, she has worked on powerhouse brands like Reckitt, Dabur, Mirinda, Pepsi, Tata Group, P&G, Stellantis, Vivo, Aegon Life, Fortis, Suzuki, UTI Mutual Fund, Celio, William Grant, Maruti Suzuki, IKEA, and Subway- blending global craft with Indian insight.
When she’s not crafting campaigns, Anu is binging on every kind of content, laughing over coffee with friends, or whipping up her famous mutton roast (ironically, she’s a vegetarian). In her own words - ‘Good ideas can come from anywhere. The trick is to stay curious enough to find them.’
