Biography
Mariya Mun is a Kazakh creative strategist and founder of NOTO Agency, one of Central Asia’s most dynamic and awarded independent creative studios. With more than 15 years of experience in marketing, she built her expertise within international corporations and leading Kazakhstani brands, including Procter & Gamble, RG Brands, Alfa-Bank, Magnum, and Home Credit Bank, where she specialized in strategic marketing and customer experience.
In 2022, Mariya launched NOTO Agency, which rapidly became a regional leader. Within two years it entered the top 10 creative agencies in Asia Pacific, ranked 7th among independent agencies, and earned over a dozen major international honors, including a Grand Prix at Spikes Asia, a shortlist for Entertainment Lions for Music, and multiple awards from E+ Awards, Epica, Red Jolbors, Red Apple, and the Cannes World Festival. The agency gained wide recognition for its Old Spice collaboration with the group ‘Irina Kairatovna,’ whose content amassed over 500 million views on YouTube and more than 10 billion on TikTok.
Under Mun’s leadership, NOTO encompasses a creative bureau, the lifestyle media platform Dye.mag, and a music label shaping the Central Asian scene. Her philosophy is grounded in cultural sensitivity and a deep understanding of local identity, believing that impactful marketing begins with authenticity, responsibility, and ideas born in the Kazakh language.
