Biography
Zokir Khalmatov is a designer and art director from Uzbekistan. Over the course of his career, he has worked as a copywriter, illustrator, layout designer, and project manager, enabling him to evolve into a multi-disciplinary art director. His primary focus lies in brand design, with a particular expertise in local identity.
Zokir's portfolio includes notable achievements such as contributing to the development of Uzbekistan's national currency symbol, creating the country's first territorial branding — Khorezm region, rebranding the national postal operator — UZPOST, and transforming Uzbekistan's largest fintech brand — Click. Over his career, he has successfully completed more than 100 major branding projects.
He is a regular participant and award-winner at both local and international creative festivals, including Best of Central Asia, TAF! - Tashkent Advertising Festival, JOLBORS FESTIVAL, IDEA FESTIVAL, HONEST FEST, ADSTARS, RED DOT AWARD, PENTAWARDS, and EPICA AWARDS. Additionally, he is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
Zokir draws inspiration from sociology, cultural nuances, and the distinctive local essence of Central Asia, which deeply influence his creative work.
