The Brief

The Young Spikes Film Competition 2021 brief has been created in partnership with Conservation International:

Three billion people rely on fish for their primary source of animal protein, but we are overfishing about half of all fisheries in the world. Climate change is causing oceans to heat up and acidify, shifting fish populations. This directly impacts the livelihoods of fishing communities when the source of their income shifts to another region.

We love our seafood – but how can we ensure that it continues to be featured in our dishes for many years to come?

In Round 1, you are expected to come up with an original idea in response to the brief and create a storyboard for a 60-second video advertisement. Shortlisted teams will be asked to film their footage and edit it into a captivating video advertisement. This will be judged by a selection of industry experts before the winner is crowned.

The Prize

A panel of expert judges will review each entry and select the winners, who will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. The Gold winning team will also receive delegate passes to the next Spikes Asia Festival and an exclusive winners interview with Campaign Asia.
