Essential Registration Dates

Online Registration

  • I do not yet know the details of the delegates who will be attending, can I still register them?

    If you do not yet know the name of the delegate(s) attending, you can still register them without having to provide any details. Once you have the details, you'll be able to update the registration from the My Passes section of your My Account area.

  • What do I do if I require a visa?

    Visas are generally required in order to gain entry into Singapore.

    Please check with the Singapore Embassy in your country if you are unsure whether a visa is necessary. 

    If you do require a visa, you will be able to request a visa invitation letter via the My Passes section of your My Account area.

    If your name appears differently on your passport to your registration, please contact us and we will generate the visa invitation letter for you.

    Please note we are only able to issue visa invitation letters to registered delegates

  • When will I receive my registration confirmation?

    In order for your registration to be processed, you must have paid your registration fee in full (including all bank charges if you pay by bank transfer). 

    If you pay by bank transfer, please email your bank transfer confirmation, including the Order Reference Number (found in the subject header of your confirmation email), to registration@spikes.asia

    Once we have processed your registration, we will send your registration confirmation, which will include your accommodation details (if requested).

  • I get an error message when trying to register, who can I contact?

    Please contact us with a description of the steps taken, the email address for the account you are logged into and a screen shot of the error message you received. We will then get back to you as soon as possible.

  • I keep receiving email reminders, what do they mean?

    You have started but not completed a delegate registration. The reminder is sent automatically.

    If you would like to stop receiving the reminders, please go back to the My Passes section of your My Account area and either proceed to Checkout or delete the registrations by choosing Pass Options and then clicking on Delete Pass.

Payment

  • Currency, tax and early bird rates

    Registration fees are in Singapore Dollars. 7% GST will apply to Singapore-based delegates. Registrations will only be processed with full pre-payment.

    Please note in order to be eligible for the Early Bird rate, you MUST make payment before the Early Bird deadline, Midnight SGT Wednesday 12 July 2017. Failure to pay by this date will result in the post-Early Bird rate being applied to your pass.

  • What methods of payment are accepted when registering online?

    Prior to arriving at the Festival, delegates can pay by:

    • Visa (3.48% handling fee)
    • MasterCard (3.4% handling fee)
    • American Express (4.4% handling fee)
    • Bank Transfer (SGD 10.00)

    If you are paying on a personal credit card, you may wish to advise your bank that you are intending to make a large payment in Singapore Dollars.

  • What methods of payment are accepted when paying at the Festival?

    At the Festival, delegates can pay with:

    • Visa (3.48% handling fee)
    • MasterCard (3.4% handling fee)
    • American Express (4.4% handling fee)
    • Cash (Singapore Dollars only)

  • What options do I have if my credit card is declined?

    It is advisable to contact your card issuing bank to authorise them to release the appropriate funds. If you have contacted your card issuer and your card is still declined, please contact us.

  • If I am paying by bank transfer, where do I send the payment?

    For those paying by bank transfer, our account details are as follows:

    It is imperative that you cover ALL bank charges, otherwise your registration(s) may be refused. Please ensure that payment is made in Singapore Dollars and arrives at our bank in Singapore Dollars.

  • What do I do once I have completed my bank transfer?

    Please email your bank transfer confirmation, including your Delegate Reference Number (found in the subject header of your confirmation email), to delegates@spikes.asia

  • Will I be able to pay by bank transfer at any time?

    You can choose to pay by bank transfer up until Midnight SGT Thursday 31 August 2017.

    After this date, you will only have the option to Pay at Festival or by credit card online.

    Please note, if you do send a bank transfer after this date and the payment has not cleared by the time you arrive at the Festival, we will charge you again onsite. The duplicate payment would then be refunded post-festival. 

  • When will I receive my invoice?

    Invoices are sent by post once delegate registration payments have been processed. Invoices will be issued in the name of the invoicing company provided.

  • Do all companies have to pay the GST?

    No, only delegates based in Singapore must pay the GST at 7%.

Spikes Students

  • What is the age limit to be able to register as a Spikes Student?

    A Spikes Student must be aged 23 or under (born after 27 September 1993), enrolled in full-time education and cannot be/cannot have been employed in the Advertising, Communication, Marketing or Design industries. 

    Proof of age (e.g. a copy of your passport or driving licence), Student photo ID and an enrolment letter must be uploaded before completing a Spikes Student online registration.

Young Spikes

  • Who is eligible for the Young Spikes Creative or Marketer pass?

    The Young Spikes Creative pass is for young professionals working in the creative industry, aged 28 or under (born after 27 September 1988) and the Young Spikes Marketer pass is for young professionals working for a client company, aged 30 or under (born after 27 September 1986).

    Proof of age e.g. a copy of your passport or driving licence must be uploaded before completing a Young Spikes online registration.

  • What is the difference between the Young Spikes Creative or Marketer pass and the Young Spikes competitions?

    The Young Spikes Creative pass is for young professionals working in the creative industry, aged 28 or under and the Young Spikes Marketer pass is for young professionals working for a client company, aged 30 or under.

    Young Spikes competition teams are pre-selected in their respective countries and confirmed by the Festival organisers.

    Please note if you register for a Young Spike Creative or Marketer pass, you are not taking part in the Young Spikes competition. 

Upgrades/Downgrades

Cancellation/Replacement

  • How can I cancel a booking?

    If you or one of your delegates are no longer able to attend the Festival, you can cancel your booking via the My Passes section of your My Account area. You would need to click on the Pass Options and then click on Cancel Pass.

    Please make sure you are aware of our cancellation policy before you choose to cancel your booking. See our terms and conditions.

  • Can I receive a refund or credit if I cancel my registration?

    We regret that the Festival office will be unable to offer refunds or credits if a delegate registration is cancelled. 

    However, it is possible to replace a delegate at any time, via the My Passes section of your My Account area. You would need to click on Pass Options, click on Delegate Details and then choose Replace Delegate.

  • I cancelled my booking by mistake, is there any way to reinstate it?


    Yes. It is possible to reinstate a pass at any time, via the My Passes section of your My Account area. You would need to go to the pass, click on Pass Options and then click on Reinstate Pass.

  • Can I change the name of a registered delegate?

    Yes, it is possible to replace a delegate at any time, via the My Passes section of your My Account area. You would need to click on Pass Options, click on Delegate Details and then choose Replace Delegate.


    At the Festival, a replacement can be made by completing a replacement form which must be accompanied by a letter from the contact company or authorised by a senior member of staff.

Accommodation

  • Is accommodation included in the cost of the pass?

    No. Accommodation is arranged by the Festival, however the registration fee is for your delegate registration only.

  • When will I get confirmation of my accommodation?

    Once your delegate registration payment is confirmed in our system, we will send you a registration and accommodation confirmation letter. Included in the confirmation are hotel deposit payment form and hotel contact details.

  • How and to whom do we pay the deposit?

    Deposits must be paid directly to the hotel. Their bank details and accepted methods of payment are included in your delegate confirmation letter. If they are not, please contact the hotel directly for payment information.

Spikes Social

  • How do I access Spikes Social?

    To access Spikes Social, you will need to enter your Delegate ID and Surname.

    You will be able to access Spikes Social only after you have received your final booking confirmation, enclosing your unique Delegate ID.

    If you have not yet received or cannot find your final Booking Confirmation, please contact the person who booked your pass or if this was you, contact us.

  • Is my Delegate ID the same as my Order Reference?

    No, these are very different.

    Your Order Reference is linked to your booking for this year and Festival only, however your Delegate ID is a unique number linked to you as an individual. Your Delegate ID is linked to you regardless of which year you are attending or which one of our Festivals you choose to book a pass for.

  • Does a delegate need a Spikes Asia account to access Spikes Social?

    No, you do not need to create an account to access Spikes Social.

    To access Spikes Social, you will need to enter your Delegate ID and Surname.

    You will be able to access Spikes Social only after you have received your final booking confirmation, enclosing your unique Delegate ID.

    If you have not yet received or cannot find your final Booking Confirmation, please contact the person who booked your pass or if this was you, contact us.

  • Will all attending delegates appear on the listing?

    Yes, all delegates will appear on the listing.

    If a delegate has chosen to opt-out from using Spikes Social, they will still appear on the listing but it will not be possible to message them.

  • Which of my details will be visible to other delegates?

    Your full name, job title, company, country and city will appear on the listing viewed by other delegates.

    Please note your email address appears when you are viewing your own profile but will remain hidden to other delegates via the listing.

  • Will other delegates see my email address?

    It will not be possible for other delegates to view your email from the listing or your profile.

    The first message between delegates will be sent via Spikes Social and your email address will be hidden to the delegate sending the message. If a delegate chooses to reply to a message, further communication will continue through your email address.

    Please note messages are not stored in Spikes Social.

  • How do I reply to a message sent via Spikes Social?

    Messages sent via Spikes Social are not stored, so you would need to respond to the email address provided in the message.

    Please note once you reply to a message sent via Spikes Social, you are giving permission for further communication to continue through your email address.

  • How do I stop receiving messages via Spikes Social?

    To stop other delegates from messaging you via Spikes Social, you can either opt-out from the bottom of the email or by logging in and visiting your profile.

    Please note if you have previously responded to messages sent via Spikes Social, the delegate will now have your email address and will still be able to send you messages.

  • If I have opted-out of Spikes Social, will I still appear on the listing?

    Yes, however it will not be possible for other delegates to send you a message.

    You will not be able to view the listing or send messages to other delegates, unless you choose to opt-in again.
