The Tangrams Effectiveness Academy @ Spikes offers young marketers, brand managers, and strategists essential preparation for a successful delivery of effectiveness through every step of their work.

Alongside exclusive in-class presentations from industry leaders, participants have access to relevant seminars from the main Festival programme and exhibitions of the region’s most innovative and creative work.

The academy takes place during Spikes Asia and concludes with a graduation ceremony celebrating participants’ achievements.

All Academies run from Wednesday 27 - Friday 29 September and the agenda will be followed as a group.

Head of Strategy
BBDO and Proximity Asia

Andy Wilson is the Head of Strategy for BBDO and Proximity Asia, leading planners across the region and developing innovative and effective communications strategies. Under his leadership, BBDO and Proximity was the most awarded network at the APAC Effies in 2014 and 2016, as well as for the AMES in recent years
Wilson leads strategy from the front and is personally heavily engaged with campaign development on a selection of accounts, including Visa, Fonterra, FedEx, and J&J. His track record of success on accounts has seen him extend his remit from an Asia-Pacific role to a global role. 
Andy has won countless effectiveness awards for his clients and was named Asia-Pacific account person of the year in 2011, and Asia-Pacific planner of the year in 2012 and 2015. No one has done that before. 
Prior to joining BBDO and Proximity Andy worked at Ogilvy for six years, in Jakarta, Tokyo and Singapore.
Before Andy moved to Asia he worked for a number of brand consultancy and research houses in London during the 1990’s.
Andy is a graduate of Oxford University where he studied philosophy, psychology, and anthropology.
