Biography

Anna Chitty is a globally recognized senior executive and leadership coach, with over two decades of experience in the advertising, communications, and media industries across New Zealand, Australia, China, and the United States.

In 2023, Anna transitioned from her successful CEO career to focus on coaching and business consulting. She now partners with organizations and individuals to unlock growth potential through structured diagnostic assessments, tailored workshops, and one-on-one coaching. Her approach is rooted in fostering a growth mindset, building positive organizational culture, and nurturing the next generation of leadership.

Anna's most recent executive role was as CEO of Starcom China (Publicis Groupe), where she led the agency to significant growth, winning Agency of the Year at China’s Festival of Media in 2021 and securing major clients including Lenovo, Ferrero, AB InBev, and lululemon. Her leadership drove topline growth of over 35%.

Earlier, Anna spent 14 years with Omnicom Media Group, holding key leadership roles in China and the U.S. She successfully led large-scale transitions, including Unilever’s Greater China media account into PHD China, and served as SVP of Business Development and Chief Transition Officer at PHD USA. In 2017, she was appointed CEO of PHD China, guiding the agency through a period of sustained excellence and recognition.

Her early career included leadership roles in New Zealand and Australia, including Media Director at FCB NZ and Managing Director of The Media Palace under The Cordiant Group.

Anna’s work has earned her numerous accolades: Media Planner/Buyer of the Year (Greater China, 2010), Campaign Asia’s Women to Watch (2014), Asia’s Women Leading Change Award (2018), Business Leader of the Year by IPWS (2019), and KEA China’s World Class New Zealander Award (2019).

A regular international awards juror and speaker, Anna has served on juries for Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, China Effies, and Dubai Lynx, and has led the international judging panel for the NZ Media Awards from 2021–2025. She is also deeply involved in mentoring initiatives for young professionals and women in business, supporting programs such as the HK Financial Times Female Mentorship Program and Shanghai Mentor Walks.
