Biography
Jon Austin is the Co-Founder and CCO at Supermassive, a creative agency that blends robust strategy, non-traditional creativity, and earned-channel thinking to create disproportionate impact in the attention era.
His work has been recognised at every major awards show around the world. He’s created a #1 charting true crime podcast, written two Gold Albums, and a #1 charting Christmas carol, which is still being taught in NZ schools. He’s launched a world-first gamified model of ecotourism that has been praised by global policymakers as a tourism game-changer.
While only two years old, Supermassive has already made global headlines by successfully changing Australian legislation around the age of social media citizenship through the 36 Months initiative, nominating the Great Barrier Reef for a lifetime achievement award, and launching the first rehabilitative radio station for young people in juvenile detention.
In 2025, their work won the PR Grand Prix at Spikes Asia, the Grande for Humanity at Adfest, the One Show Sustainable Development Goals Award, as well as being shortlisted for the Titanium Lion Award at Cannes. They were ranked Australia’s #2 Indie Agency of the Year, and #19 Global Indie Agency of the Year in the 2025 One Show Creative Rankings.
