Biography

Maurice Riley is the Chief Data Officer for Publicis Groupe Australia and New Zealand, leading the region’s transformation in data, identity, and AI-driven creativity. Working across the Groupe’s creative, media, and technology agencies, he helps brands turn intelligence into imagination — connecting data systems to ideas that move people and drive measurable growth.

A strategist by training and a futurist at heart, Maurice has spent two decades helping brands like Procter & Gamble, Marriott, McDonald’s, Tourism Australia, and Mercedes turn complexity into clarity and insight into impact. His career spans New York and Sydney, including senior leadership roles at Digitas and Publicis New York, where he built the foundations of modern one-to-one marketing and data-driven storytelling.

Globally recognised as a thought leader, Maurice chaired the Cannes Lions Creative Data Jury in 2021 and continues to push the boundaries of how technology, culture, and creativity intersect. His influence lies in challenging what data can be — not just a measure of performance, but a medium of possibility.
