Farishte Irani is a Group Head at Dentsu Creative. With 12 Cannes Lions (including 1 Titanium and 3 Grand Prix), 19 One Show Pencils, 8 D&AD Pencils, and 22 Spikes Asia Metals (including 4 Grand Prix) to her name, she played an integral part in Dentsu Creative being named the Cannes Lions Global Agency of the Year. She has also been ranked #1 in the Cannes Lions Copywriter of the Year Report. Her personal experiences have always shaped her professional choices, leading to a colorful career that has seen her transition from a fresh graduate creating viral content for some of India's favorite platforms, to discovering and training well-known Spoken Word Poets, to heading campaigns for innovative brands like Swiggy and YouTube. In the past, she has led creative and juries for Spoken Fest, one of India's largest and most respected performing arts festivals.
Most notably, her lived experience as a Zoroastrian slowly digesting her own intergenerational trauma and lost culture gave her a unique perspective as a member of the team behind the Unfiltered History Tour. When her proud father posted about her achievements on a Zoroastrian Facebook page, he received 900 likes (and counting, as he continues to enthusiastically update her). In other words, 1% of the global Zoroastrian population came together to celebrate one of their own. She enjoys learning Avesta, writing poetry and personal essays, and training young Indian poets during her downtime.
