Niizawa is Chief Creative Officer of Wunderman Thompson Tokyo. Originally started his career as a copywriter at Hakuhodo in Japan, Niizawa built his experience in global ad field when he joined TBWA/HAKUHODO. Niizawa’s experience covers truly global brands as well as traditional domestic clients, helping him develop a strong ability to provide creative solutions for global brands based on local insights and executions.
Niizawa took home the first Cannes Lions for NISSAN Japan, and has won several major local and global awards. He has also served as a jury for some of the industry's most prestigious festivals, including Cannes Lions, The One Show, D&AD, ADC Awards, SPIKES ASIA, ADFEST etc.
His mission is to create the happiest agency in the world. That won't be measured by the number of awards he receives.
