Mel Panabi

Mel Panabi is the Business Director of Red Havas PH, the merged media business unit of Havas Ortega. As its business director, he is largely responsible in planning, strategizing, and implementing public relations and corporate communications projects for Havas Ortega’s clients.

He has more than twenty years' experience in the fields of corporate communication, public relations, online and traditional marketing, and events management catering to both B2B and B2C clients.

Among the brands he has worked for are Microsoft Phils., Okada Manila, Banco de Oro, Lufthansa Technik, Boysen, Landco Pacific Corporation, TVI Pacific, and Luen Thai Holdings.

He has also handled projects for government-related institutions like ILO, the AFP, and WHO.

Prior to joining The Havas Ortega Group, Mel was the Vice President for Marketing of a renewable energy company, and built the marketing and corporate communication departments for its offices in the Philippines and Vietnam. He was also part of the team that created the investment packets to sell a carbon credits business to companies in Europe.

Mel is deeply interested in new digital technologies, namely, web3 and how the metaverse can redefine how people consume media.
